On 29th September, School of Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation held a meeting for the 2022 freshmen with the theme of “Racing on the Track of Youth” in university gymnasium. Director Ma Zhuang, Miao Liqiu, secretary of Party Committee of the school, vice-secretary and vice-director Du Mingyue, vice-director Jiang Shan and vice-director Yang Jufeng, together with all teachers and freshmen of the school attended the meeting. Parents of 2022 freshmen also attended the meeting via Tencent conference online.
Miao Liqiu gave a welcoming speech for the freshmen majoring in sports rehabilitation of Jinzhou Medical University and Waikato Institute of technology Jointly Running Undergraduate Education Program; Dr. Dai Xu, representative of the teaching staff, encouraged the students to practice their excellent skills, strengthen their moral character and build a strong body from four aspects: “study”, “mission”, “exploration” and “development” so as to make outstanding contributions to the Party, the country and the health cause; Yin Jiaqi, the representative of the freshmen, expressed the feeling of joy to become a member of JZMU and the pledge of pursuing the dream with hard work.
As the member of jointly running program, the chairman and executive president of International Cooperation Team of Waikato Institute of Technology (New Zealand) delivered a speech to the freshmen online. “I believe the brilliant education you’ll gain here are the outcome of joining hands in strength both of New Zealand and China,” he said, “We’ll provide you professional skills and a great future.”
Finally, Professor Ma Zhuang, the director of school, made a conclusive speech on behalf of the school. He sincerely welcomed the freshmen and encouraged them by an old saying: “Achievements are reached by hard work rather than recreation; actions are done after thorough consideration rather than casual decision.” He expressed, on meeting the needs of China’s sports rehabilitation industry and the trend of international development, all the faculty will cultivate the students with the perspective of national complex and international vision, so as to make contributions to the community.
The representatives of graduates, teachers from training bases and parents of freshmen all sent their best wishes and expressed their expectations to the freshmen online.
